MS Office

MS Office is used in a majority of companies. It is safe to assume that you have at one time or another used Excel, Outlook and Word, probably also Access and other products available in the MS Office software pack. Many people may not be aware that these applications can be significantly expanded, adapted to the company's needs, mutually integrated and combined with the rest of the company's software systems.

Excel

We provide both simple worksheets as well as more complicated integrated data analysis solutions based on Excel. Excel is exquisitely suitable for the analysis of smaller amounts of data. Information gathered through complicated queries from the company’s information system (databases) can be imported to Excel for processing. Thus calculations can be made in Excel locally, avoiding the need to request the same data repeatedly from the server – constant data requests may tax the network's resources and/or consume too much time. Excel enables spreadsheet calculations that differ somewhat from database data processing. By compiling the worksheets with formulae and importing data into them it is possible to e.g. draw up budgets while playing through different what-if-scenarios. When figures are changed on the worksheet, the results change automatically, without the need to request the data from the network again. Using MS Excel, various data processing tools can be assembled quickly and inexpensively. Very often it is easier, faster and more profitable to have Excel perform the tasks characteristic to spreadsheet calculations instead of building a similar function into the company's software systems.

Access

Long-term experience in developing MS Access-based systems enables us to offer our clients comfortable, easy and powerful solutions for data processing. We guarantee stable, faultlessly operating applications.

Very convenient database user interfaces and other similar desktop environments can be assembled on the basis of Access. A powerful reports engine can produce very complicated accounts with minimum trouble. A very strong asset of Access is the data processing engine able to carry out a multitude of complicated data operations while sparing time and resources rather effectively.

Using Access does not always imply purchasing an additional database server. If the amounts of data are not too big, the database format of Access itself can successfully be used. At the same time Access is capable of using data from other databases. Access can also be utilized as a data integrator collecting and processing data from various databases.

Thus Access can be used as a basis for developing a reporting system that gathers data from different software systems of the company, such as the supply storage system, the personnel system and the accountancy system.

Outlook

Outlook is used by many companies as their main e-mail software. There are very many ways to expand the functions of Outlook. For example, interfaces can be developed that send messages to contacts in the lists originating from client management or personnel systems. It is also possible to expand Outlook so that the correspondence with clients is saved automatically into the company’s client management system while maintaining a pleasantly familiar interface for the user – visually nothing changes on their desktops.

Outlook's address book can be assigned to synchronize data automatically with the company’s client management system and even an employee’s mobile phone’s address book. Manual synchronization would be inconvenient and rather time-consuming. Also Outlook's event calendar can be synchronized with various information systems.
